This modification which is virtually a bolt-in, was so easy, everyone was left with their jaws hanging just like the pedals. Ok, we DID have to weld in a plate, as you can see in the above photo to stiffen the firewall, which flexed quite a bit when the brake pedal was depressed. Technically you could bolt the stiffening plate in so shut up.
So how did we come by this mod-to-end-all-mods and how can you do it? Well, some people like to just hang out in junkyards and measure stuff. Greg Meyers is one of those guys. With measuring stick in hand, he headed out in search of hanging pedals. Rumor had it that S-10 was the way to go. Greg did better. The pedals and master cylinder are out of a Geo Tracker/Suzuki Vitara. He was pretty excited when he showed up with them, I want to tell you. Are you paying attention Jim Turner? I expect to see something on your table next time we're in South Bend.
