Mid-May Update: 2004

This is just a really quick update on our progress. Here's how the net hanging hardware has evolved into a single bar that follows the contour of the roll cage. It's held in by bailing wire at this point because it will fall out from gravity. A modified seat-belt will hold it in place once the net is added. The large ring is there so a driver with big gloves on can operate it easily. We also need to add a pad behind the driver's head to restrict backwards movement to 3 inches or less to prevent whiplash. We had a few people sit in the driver's seat to measure up head position.
The scattershield got some threads cut into its tabs and a final test fitting. Here is a front view and a back view.
The batteries are now mounted in the trunk.
And some more sparks.
